Rock climbers carry out restoration work, maintenance and monitoring by abseiling safely and positioning themselves by the sole use of ropes without the use of scaffolding, baskets or other equipment which in some cases are impossible to employ or are particularly onerous. The work is carried out by personnel who are highly specialised and trained specifically to carry out these particular and delicate operations: the basic skills of restoration are combined with specific training in rock climbing techniques, which allows them to carry out the various phases of work in specific conditions.
